Owens Field Pump Track, South Carolina
In April 2021, the City of Columbia, SC, utilized Recreational Trails Program (RTP) funds to transform Owens Field.
The new pump track was unveiled by the mayor, marking a significant step in enhancing public spaces. Thanks to RTP funds, the 0.9-acre park now offers accessible parking, seating, water fountains, bike repair stations, bike racks, trash and recycling receptacles, and updated landscaping.
The asphalt pump track provides a thrilling ride of approximately 0.2 miles, featuring composite wood and asphalt bern turns, wood roller corners, a-frames, and more.
